Lake Fishing

Lake Chatuge is well known as a productive fishing lake. Thirty-two species of fish have been reported in the Lake Chatuge resevoir. Large mouth bass, small mouth bass, spotted bass, white bass and sunfish are the primary game fish.

On any given weekend, the bass fisherman will be on the lake surrounded by the mountains. Several bass tournaments are held every year on Lake Chatuge. For fishing tournament information call the Clay County Chamber of Commerce at 1-828-389-3704.
